The whole and the detail
A border changes how a rug meets the floor. The spacing of a pattern changes how it sits beneath furniture. A shift in tone can connect a woven surface with nearby stone or timber. These are small decisions with a visible effect on a space.
We approach a design through these relationships. An edge should feel part of the composition; the texture should make sense alongside its pattern. A rug can bring definition to an outdoor room while leaving room for the architecture around it.

HANDWOVEN CHARACTER
The character of the weave
Our rugs are made by expert craftspeople in India. Their handwoven character brings small variations to the weave and finish, which may be visible when two pieces are placed together or when a detail is viewed closely.
Handmade variation is part of understanding the object you are choosing. If you have a question about a particular detail, share a photograph with us so it can be considered in context. The product description and individual care label remain important references for your rug.
MATERIAL IN CONTEXT
Understanding polypropylene
Rima Dain rugs are made with polypropylene. The fibre has low moisture absorption, a useful material characteristic to understand when considering an outdoor textile. The performance of a complete rug also depends on its construction, placement and care.
Think about the surface beneath the rug, drainage, exposure and the way the space is used. Keep rugs clear of standing water, allow them to dry fully and follow the care instructions for the particular piece.
Choose with the setting in mind
The same design may be considered for a private terrace or a larger project, but the requirements of those settings can differ. Where a project has technical criteria, identify them before making a final selection.
Architects, designers, hospitality operators and developers can include required documentation in an enquiry. Any performance classification or project suitability needs to be established for the specified product and intended use. A material name or an image alone cannot answer every specification question.

Care is part of ownership
Regular removal of dust and debris, prompt attention to spills and complete drying after cleaning help you look after the rug. Our published care guidance explains the recommended methods and the precautions to take.
For warranty questions, consult the full terms and retain your proof of purchase. If something concerns you, contact us with the design name, a short description and clear photographs so the next step can be considered.
